Hi, Hello, How are you? My name is Aurora Talbot, I am in my junior year of high school and my first year at Helena Highschool. I have just moved to Helena from Eugene Oregon. I joined The Nugget on a whim because I really enjoy writing, creative writing, that is. But informative is one of these things that I enjoy, but rarely dust off, due to a lack of anything to write about. I am incredibly eager to be joining The Nugget’s team this year and really getting into the nitty-gritty of informative writing.

I enjoy appreciating and creating art. I have dabbled in just about every art you can think of: drawing, painting, musical instruments, theatre, choir, and most currently, (and longest lasting), creative writing. Come find me, I love to talk about my interests! I also really enjoy reading, mostly fantasy and science fiction, with a strong hint of The Dark. Some of my favorites include the Mistborn Chronicles by Brandon Sanderson, anything included in the Ender’s Game universe by Orson Scott Card, anything by Brent Weeks, and, from my childhood, Alice in Wonderland by Lewis CarrollI love the great outdoors; common activities for me during summer include backpacking, hiking, and paddleboarding. I have yet to own a paddleboard of my own, but one of these days, it shall be mine!

For me, school is something I know I have to do if I ever want to actually get to where I want to go in life, so I am going to do it well. This just means I get the stuff done, and I get it done right. But that is a miracle all on its own because I am one of the most disorganized people I know. But I need everything to be organized, clear, and concise, which is just the biggest oxymoron I can think of. After high school though, I intend to become a dental hygienist because that is a defined job where I do the same thing every day, and I like that.
