Art Club

Looking for something to do at lunch? Well, HHS clubs are back! Helena High has many clubs to offer. From Chess Club, to HOSA, to Key Club, there is a variety of things for students to choose from. Clubs are places where students who share an interest or passion can form bonds. Clubs offer students a place to go during lunch that is safe and fun.

Art Club is just one of the club options available to students at HHS. The club meets on Wednesdays in room 49 at lunch. The club has been going on for a couple of years and welcomes anyone who is interested in making art. Art teacher Mrs. Jaynes advises the club. Currently, there are about 15 members.

So, what makes Art Club fun? For starters, there are many things to do in Art club. You can enjoy doing simple art projects, like coloring in a coloring book, or more challenging projects like making art to donate to Shodair Children’s Hospital. Art Club creates an environment that is friendly and open to individuals of all talents. You can attend the club to meet new students and friends and to relax and enjoy your lunch!

Mrs. Jaynes described the club as “relaxing and fun.” There is no pressure in Art Club, and there are no expectations. You are there to create art, any type that interests you, and to spend time with people who share those interests. You can learn and grow from your peers, and the club adviser, Mrs. Jaynes. So, stop by and find your next new hobby!
