Gown Dilemma Update

The graduation gown dilemma at Helena High has finally come to a close. The administration, including principal Steve Thennis, made the decision to go with one color of gown, and to let the students chose. Seniors voted in their government classes to have a red, white, or silver gown. After reviewing the votes, it was announced that silver gowns will be worn as seniors walk across the stage at graduation. The Nugget followed up on the GSA Presidents viewpoint as well, and they seemed to think that the change to one color gowns was a positive one, saying that they were, “glad we finally reached a conclusion” despite the struggles that they had to overcome.
