August 31st: JV Football Blowout

Connor Casne-Jones, Head Writer

Helena High students and parents alike flock to the second JV football game of the year. But if they were even a minute late, they missed the closest part of the game. The JV Bengals dominated out of the gate.  At halftime the Helena High Bengals JV football team was leading Billings seniors JV football team 44 to zero.

Outside linebacker and defensive end Trey Martin (junior) had a couple of sacks and racked up the tackles. “We had 30 plus points by the first quarter,” Martin said. The final score was a blowout 53-3. Keaton Wallace, also an outside linebacker and defensive end, said the JV team is yet to have a touchdown scored against them, a fact that remains true after 2 more games.
